Sylvia Patterson studied at the Birmingham School of Art and School of Fashion in the 1950s. She now lives and paints on the beautiful South West coast of Ireland, a location which inspires many of her paintings. Sylvia takes an active part in her local art scene and will be exhibiting her work this summer as part of the Kinsale Art Week.

Sylvia's subject matters are diverse and range from interesting still life compositions to landscapes and portraiture all of which reflect Sylvia's ability to create beautiful paintings from her observations both at home and on her travels abroad.

Sylvia uses a range of media including oils, acrylics and pastels on block board, canvass and linen mounted on board.
